The Memphis Grizzlies lost Mike Conley for a short while last week when he went down with a sprained right ankle during a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. An MRI said he had a Grade 2 sprain and was to miss at least a week. A little over a week later, it looks like Conley will make his return soon, most likely Tuesday.

In a tough Western Conference, the Grizzlies are on the edge of making the playoffs with a record of 27-22. It’s still a bit early to be talking about playoffs, but any push would be great help. Without Conley, the team has been led by a couple of different point guards in his place and have gone 2-2 since.

For the season, Conley is having the best offensive season of his career (likely due to the absence of Rudy Gay ). He is averaging 18.0 points on 45.8% shooting from the field, both of which are career-highs. In addition he is averaging 6.2 assists per game and, as always, been a disruptive force on the defensive end with 1.6 steals a game.
