5 days old Shoulder dislocation reduced nd fixation done ….critics pls
- Shekar Ortho was there any epiphyseal injury of head??? if not there was no need for screws& if required , they should have been put into metaphyseal angulating down
- Amith Shetty Shekar Ortho I’ve put schrews perpendicular to # line …I felt angulating it dwn would hav displaced the fragment
- Shekar Ortho Amith shetty,on completion of follow-up, please try to report it to some journal. Its worth s not many such injuries seen in at this age
- Karwan Ahmed Raouf Well done , it was better to use partially threaded screws , the threaded part should not pass through fracture site ….for better compression
- Alladu Hemanth Kumar Dear doc.
Good job.
I would interpret this injury not only as an isolated fracture dislocation but as a soft tissue injury too as there is cuff attached to thr greater tuberosity.
First the injury needs complete evaluation by c.t and Mri without which planning is incomplete.
Function of the greater tuberosity comes from attachement of the cuff.
There is another structure in the joint the long head of biceps which can lead to persistant pai and stiff ness.
